Chocolate Every Day

And I am still losing weight!

I love chocolate. I think many of us do love chocolate, and because of what happens inside our bodies when we eat chocolate, we can actually justify explain scientifically our passion. It has to do with serotonin. Now this article is not going to be about serotonin, so don’t get all glazed over yet!

I want to know WHY chocolate is so bad for us if it makes us feel so darn good, and is there a way to have our chocolate and eat it to, without feeling like we have to go out back and sneak a bite while furtively looking over our shoulder to make sure nobody sees us!

So what is the difference between healthy and unhealthy chocolate? To find the answer Read the rest of this entry »

Chocolate on a Diet?Diet chocolate

MMMmmm Wouldn’t it be great if that was the case? I mean who DOESN’T love rich smooth creamy gourmet chocolates! Delectable, delicious, dreamy, melt in your mouth chocolate. (forgive that spot of drool!)

Seriously, a friend sent me some samples of a new chocolate product that is processed with cold-press technology to retain all of the good polyphnols and catechins (antioxidants a.k.a. good for you  stuff) and then they keep out all the bad for you fillers like wax and refined sugars and oils, but add in fruit extracts for sweetening and to boost nutritional value! WOW (and the added benefit of possibly helping you LOSE WEIGHT!) Read the rest of this entry »

Baby yawnBoy Am I tired!

Here I am on day 3. I had a pretty good day yesterday, and stayed on track. My 3 meals were similar to day one. I didn’t have ice cream but I did have a ‘chewy’ granola bar. Seriously, I don’t know why anyone would ever imagine that this kind of thing is healthy! It’s a bunch of oats and rice crispies glued together with honey and other sugar sticky gooey semi-solid crap and then dipped in "yogurt" which is what the fast food producers call frosting these days.

Anyway, I digress! Today I am tired and I don’t really know why I didn’t sleep well last evening. I feel vaguely unwell, which is Read the rest of this entry »
