That’s a picture of the beach! How beautiful. You know, it’s interesting but I never knew Florida had that fine powdery white sand like you find in the Caribbean.

How wonderful (especially for a Canadian) to bury your toes in the beach in March! Jim and I walked for ages every single morning along this very beach, just enjoying the salty breeze on my face, upturned to drink in those precious rays of sunshine. IDYLLIC!!

In fact it was so wonderful that I have decided to spend 3 months there next year. The beauty of working from home is that home is where-ever I want it to be.

I’ve already rented a condo on the beach for next January. (It’s a 3 bedroom so if you want to come and stay a week, just let me know!) and Jim and I have agreed to find a condo we can have year round.

I am so happy about that. I have been complaining bitterly about the Canadian winters for so long now!! It will be wonderful to finally be able to live the way I want.

As an aside, this wouldn’t be possible if I had a REAL J.O.B. like so many people do. If you want to feel really good in the winter, and shake off the depression go to the place in the picture!! ;-)

I finally bit the bullet and joined Twitter

I am blogging about the experience (and other stuff) over at ShelleySaid.com … but I just really GOT the whole social media thing and the power of the people. I know it's crazy… most of you probably already get it… but I never did. I blog lots, and get some traffic, but I work hard for that traffic. You are here reading this because of hours and hours and hours of work, surfing the internet, commenting on blogs, adding value when I can, joining communities like IOWA Ave and blog catalog (see my sidebar).

It's all well and good, I've enjoyed the work, so yeah it's been a lot of fun and I have met some COOLEST people! I love jornalling about health issues, and sharing stories and recipes. So today while I was pondering Twitter, I thought,… here we have, more than any other time in the history of HISTORY, an opportunity to really INFLUENCE people from our own little corner of the world. We have the opportunity, through social media, to express our views, and make them understood in places we have only read about before.

twitter is so .. well… random. But isn't it all? The randomness of it is what makes it so exciting, and so much like fate, destiny. If you believe everything happens for a reason, that everyone comes into each others lives for a reason then how do you account for the fact that now you can literally find hundreds, maybe thousands of people a day coming across what you've written through Twitter, Stumble, or Digg.

Is there a way to take that fact (the act that Twitter has 3.5 million members and growing exponentially by the day) and somehow leverage your message so that it gets heard, and shared. Can we help get people the knowledge they need to finally decide to stop eating Big Mac's and start eating food? Can we get them the info they need to rid their bodies of heavy metals and toxins (see that zeolite bottle in the sidebar). Can we get them the iformation they need to help us STOP Codex Alimentarius in it's tracks, to make governments more accountable, and to stop poisoning our food supply, and our water and the air we breathe?

Think about what a difference you could make in this world if you had an audience of people that would really listen?

Feel free to follow me on Twitter. I know that I have to make a difference somehow. I know I have to create, and inspire and share, and help everyone Be Naturally Well.

See you there!

@ShelleyPenney :-)
