Why are products outlawed in Europe -- because they kill -- allowed on the market in the US? Money, money, money! Greed rules the USA. How sad for all of us. In the end, whether in this world or the next, the guilty will be held to account and they will pay dearly.

Some people do not tan at all, so sun screen is vital for any time in the sun. There is also evidence to suggest that sunscreen leads to diabetes and problems with nutrition (not because of the lack of absorption but from disruption of the digestion process probably due to the above mentioned nanoparticles) Just do what you think is right....there are always studies saying things are bad or good for you....

If people insist on using sunscreens, then at least get ones toxin free, and of course that is a good start. My concern though, is that recent testing has shown that sunscreens are ineffective at blocking the harmful effects of UVA (as mentioned above) and because of that melanomas are on the rise!

The real answer is allow the skin to do what it is naturally meant to do (tan - melanin is our protection) and don't stay in the sun long enough to burn. :-)

It just makes me so sad! People slathering on this stuff thinking they are doing good! I used to too!

Now I only use sunscreens, and other toiletries that are rated safe on a great database of safe products: http://cosmeticsdatabase.com

I wrote a post about safe sunblocks on my blog too! Please check it out and save yourself the safe way!
